When I was first came to Singapore, there is one food that amazed myself and make me always craving for — the fried sotong and prawn noodles. I had try the noodles at various places in Singapore for years but there is only one stall that I will always go back for — the Liak Huat Good Food at Ang Mo Kio Block 527 Market and Hawker Center.
The cooked stall is owned by a pair of elder couple who prepare and cook the amazing fried sotong and prawn noodles.
Till here, you may wonder what is the “sotong” I keep mentioning here. “Sotong” actually is the cuttlefish in Malay word, and the fried sotong and prawn noodles consists of noodles (the yellow one), mee hoon (the white one), pork, sotong (cuttlefish), and the prawn. It is cooked with the fresh prawn soup, and served by lime and sambal (chilli in Malay word), in a simple word, it is DELICIOUS!
Of course, there is a dessert that I always order after I had the fried noodles which is sell by the opposite beverage stall — the Ice Kacang. It is the ice blended with sweet corns, atap seeds, red beans, and some other ingredients.
Hmm… There are only two photos but they definitely make my dinner so wonderful. Did you try them before? Or do you have any recommendation for the fried prawn noodles?
